My name is Will Reichardt and I am running for the office of Skagit County Sheriff in the upcoming election. The Sheriff's Office will face a number of challenges in the next 4 years. With shrinking budgets and increasing demands for service, the next Sheriff will need the ability to hit the ground running; with a solid, experienced background in modern law enforcement and a clear understanding of the true priorities of this community we call the Skagit Valley.
Leading the Sheriff's Office Into the Future
It has been an honor and privilege to serve Skagit County as a deputy sheriff for the past 26 years. Starting as a corrections deputy in the jail, as a patrol deputy, a detective, as a patrol sergeant and now as Chief Criminal Deputy, I have always strived to provide professional service and to motivate and inspire those I lead to do the same. Team building and empowering individual members of the Sheriff's Office have always been, and will continue to be my focus. Skagit County has every right to be proud of the fine men and women who together, have formed a strong and innovative team to protect and serve it's citizens.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Will Reichardt has spent his entire law enforcement career working for the citizens of Skagit County. As he has worked his way up through the ranks to his current post as Chief Criminal Deputy has has been an effective leader in each position. Will has always tried to do more then was asked of him in every job he takes on.

No one person or agency can do the job alone. The most effective law enforcement is a collaborative effort between city, county, state and federal partnerships. Law enforcement must also engage the community and form strong relationships with the citizens, schools and private business.
Will Reichardt has the support and solid relationships with local and regional law enforcement officials at all levels. As a life long Skagit resident who is active in the community he will always be accessible and listen to the citizens' needs and concerns. |
The Sheriff's Office has a 12 million dollar budget and over 115 employees. The demands for service are increasing and the need to find creative and innovative solutions to combat a shrinking budget is critical. Funding law and justice must continue to be the number one priority.
Will Reichardt has worked closely with other Sheriff's Office administrators for the past 7 years to continually come up with a balanced budget while at the same time maintaining an effective level of public safety, for both the community and the deputies who serve them. |
The Sheriff's Office has some of the finest men and women in law enforcement working right here for our community. They are dedicated to the office mission of providing professional law enforcement service to our citizens and visitors. To that end, Skagit County deputies are provided with the latest technology, equipment and training to support them in this effort.
Will Reichardt is dedicated to maintaining this top-notch level of service and providing the leadership needed to make the Skagit County Sheriff's Office even better. |
